I’ve always thought that eccentricity was to be admired…
However, now that I appear to have turned into an eccentric, I may have to change my mind…
Cath came home the other week with a jumper she had found in a shop on sale and thought I might like. She told us how she had seen it and knowing it was made of a soft fleecy type fabric of which I am fond, had asked the assistant if it could be returned on the off-chance that it did not fit. This seemed wise since there was only one in the shop, but when I heard the rest of the story, I was less enamoured. Apparently, Cath had also told the assistant that she knew I would love the jumper because I have a fleece blanket kind of similar that I have an obsession with. Fair enough. She then followed this by telling said assistant that I have taken to wearing the blanket as a cape and that she is worried that one day I will wear it outside…
Yeah…
It’s true that I wear my blankets like capes when it is cold…
I worried myself further though when, having fallen totally in love with the jumper, I heard myself asking if I could stay home from work because I was so comfy in it…
